Who We are:
Studio classes & training
in-person & from the convenience of your home.
We make yoga & wellness accessible to you, no matter where you chose to practice.
To enjoy our virtual yoga studio , check out our Live Classes on the “schedule” page. You will receive a Zoom link for a live broadcast class; this link will bring you directly to your virtual class when it begins.
In-person yoga classes are hosted at the Heidi Anderson Wellness Studio at 392 West Broadway, Unit 1F in South Boston. Check-out the schedule for in-person class options.
Our on-demand class library is in-the-works and will be launching soon, so stay tuned!
For private coaching sessions and events, you can select the option you are interested in by visiting the “Private Sessions” page. You will be prompted to send a message to trainer & coach, Kelly Ernst, to schedule your session. Both virtual and in-person options are available. In-person sessions are either at your home, or at BCF Fitness in South Boston at 159A Old Colony Ave.
*Refund Policy: If you need to cancel a Live Class, no problem. This class pass will be applied to the recorded version of the class that will be available once the live class is completed. In-person classes typically sell-out quickly, so we ask that you cancel at least 2 hours in advance so the space opens-up for another student to be able to enjoy taking class. If you need to cancel or reschedule a personal training or private event session, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. The session can be applied to another session. We ask that you are respectful of our time so cancellations under 24 hours you will not receive a refund or session voucher.
*Please always check with your healthcare provider prior to starting any new fitness or wellness routine.
Meet the Founders
Hi, I’m Kelly Ernst, co-founder of Balanced Yoga & Wellness, and I believe that getting yourself back to work means setting your own pace. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to wellness.
I am a certified yoga instructor (pre-and-postnatal certified as well), personal trainer, and nutrition coach. I struggled with being overweight as a child, which ultimately resulted in a life threatening eating disorder as a young adult. I used excessive cardio and calorie restriction to cope with past traumas, which seemed to work until my body started to fail me. I found yoga in my early 20’s and it opened my heart and mind to a new approach to wellness. My mission is to help people find their inner strength with a balanced approach to fitness & health and to break down barriers to ideal wellness.
For years, my husband, Adam Ernst, and I have dreamt of starting our own yoga studio and spreading the gift of wellness to as many people as possible. Rather than waiting for the perfect space to open-up, we decided to take matters into our own hands and partner with other small business owners in the Boston community to start our own hybrid yoga & training studio!
Whether you are flowing with us virtually, or training with us one-on-one, we are here to support you on your wellness journey and we will meet you where you are at. Get ready to tear down obstacles of the mind and body — and have fun while you are doing it! We’re excited for you to start your journey with us.

“Kelly is a truly amazing trainer - you will be transformed! She is terrific technically - combining carefully tailored weight training with yoga oriented stretching to give a true total body work out. But she is also inspirational and caring - she challenged me with a friendly but no nonsense “you can do this” approach while making sure I kept to the program by regularly checking, encouraging and tweaking the program even on off days or when I was traveling. Kelly is simply the best!”
